Otto Walter Lindemeyer “Peanut” was born July 13, 1946, to Walter and Margaret (nee’ Grob) Lindemeyer at home in Leslie. He passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2023 at the age of 77 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Margaret; sisters, Iola and Earline; daughter, Aprell; and son, Jimmy.
He is survived by wife, Deborah (nee’ Greife); daughter, Charlene Flotte (Greg); brothers, Dennis and Alan (Shirley); five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
His education began in a one-room schoolhouse in Leslie. He was a student at Beaufort Elementary when it opened and graduated from Union High School in 1964.
Otto was a member of the Ill-Mo Tractor and Engine Club for 40 years, and a volunteer for the Beaufort-Leslie Fire Department. He was employed at General Motors for 34 years, until he retired in 1993.
The Lindemeyer family would like to give a special thank you to their niece Melissa Aston, Mercy Hospice, and Gerald Ambulance personnel for all the help and kindness in Otto’s final days. It was greatly appreciated.
Services will be held privately.
The Lindemeyer family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home in Union.
