Owensville’s sixth-grade volleyball Dutchgirl black team opened their spring season with tournament action at Pacific. Sweeping Pacific Purple, Union Black and Cuba Black in pool play, Owensville advanced to bracket action in the semifinals against St. Clair. Sweeping the Lady Bulldogs in two sets, the Dutchgirls advanced to the championship match against Sullivan where they also swept the Lady Eagles in two sets to leave eastern Franklin County with first-place medals.
