As a business owner, I’m very jealous of Adam Swart. His business has increased by up to 400 percent over last year. That is phenomenal.
Swart is the CEO of Crowds on Demand, a California company that pays people from $100 to $500 per day to protest.
According to Swart, “there’s no such thing as a truly organic protest.” This includes the protests currently happening in Washington, D.C., the “No Kings Day” protests around the country, and the protests/riots in Los Angeles.
Paid protesters make an issue seem more significant than it is.
When hundreds of protesters show up within a few minutes early in the morning or late at night, they are being paid.
“Another tip that these guys are funded is the fact that they have tactical gear. Tactical gear is extremely expensive and the fact they’re passing out hundreds of tactical gear uniforms is an indication that there’s some money. Who is funding these groups?” Swart questioned. Swart said to also look out for legal payouts that are “disguised as support.”
“Instead of direct cash payments, groups offer expensive legal defense packages and luxury accommodations as a workaround – compensating illegal action without ever calling it that,” Swart explained.
Swart’s cost for each protester depends “on the location, the duration and any challenges, for example, cold weather or early morning.”
Crowds on Demand states that it only employs people for “peaceful and law-abiding protests.”
On August 13, the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., conducted a traffic safety compliance checkpoint, which they have been doing weekly since 2023. According to a spokesperson, “These checkpoints are an education and enforcement tool used to encourage safe driving and hold violators accountable.”
It was different this time. Just two days earlier, Trump announced he was using section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act to legally federalize the D.C. police department.
Because of this, protesters were on the street at the checkpoint to harass officers who were doing their job to make the city safer.
Any driver who has driven for more than a couple of years has been through a traffic safety checkpoint.
Another day, a protester accused D.C. police officers of being “Nazis. You will never know a moment of peace.”
People are hired to do more than protest Donald Trump’s policies. Public relations firms often hire protesters to create a specific narrative. Lobbyists hire individuals to influence public opinion on legislation. Companies may also pay someone to protest online or in person to amplify their message.
Political advertising in the United States is recognized as a form of free speech, protected by the U.S. Constitution. I sell advertising for political campaigns and issues. I am well-versed in both state and national laws that mandate disclosure of funding sources.
These laws require political ads to clearly state who paid for them, helping voters know who is behind the message being presented. This applies to all forms of political advertising, including TV, radio, newspapers, and online. If it’s paid for, it must include a tagline stating who forked out the money for the message.
Failure to comply can result in penalties and fines.
Protesting is also included on that list of protections by the Constitution under the guise of free speech.
Billionaires like George Soros are known to funnel huge sums of money to political action committees (PACs). When those PACs spend money on political advertisements, we know where the funds come from.
Currently, there is no way to find out who is paying for protesters used to affect politics the way we know who pays for advertising. Are the funds coming from a billionaire like Soros, or is it coming from a foreign country trying to affect our government? That needs to change.
Any paid protester should be required to wear some form of identification showing they are being paid and by whom.
Currently, groups and individuals are anonymously spending millions, maybe billions, to change America. That should anger and scare you no matter what side of the aisle you are on.
