Saturday morning at Owensville High School (OHS) will be one of those where it will be park at your own risk in between the baseball field and the high school.

That is because there will be a baseball jamboree and a 10-team Owensville Middle School (OMS) 8th Grade Volleyball Tournament going on simultaneously throughout the day.

Jamie Ridenhour’s OMS 8th Grade Dutchgirl Volleyball Team will host nine other area middle school volleyball teams with action beginning at 8:00 a.m., on two courts inside the OHS main gym.

Owensville will compete in the orange pool along with New Haven’s Lady Shamrocks, Sullivan’s Lady Eagles, St. James’ Lady Tigers and Washington’s Lady Blue Jays.

Black Pool action will take place between Steelville’s Lady Cardinals, Hermann’s Lady Bearcats, St. Clair’s Lady Bulldogs, Pacific’s Lady Indians and Union’s Lady Wildcats.

Volleyball action will get underway in 8:00 a.m., matches between Owensville and New Haven on court one and Steelville facing Hermann on court two.

Action at 8:45 a.m., will continue on court one with Sullivan taking on St. James while St. Clair and Pacific meet on court two.

Owensville will return to action at 9:30 a.m., on court one against Washington while Union and Steelville face off on court two.

10:15 a.m., pool matches will see New Haven square off against St. James on court one while Hermann and Pacific meet up in a Highway 100 showdown on court two.

Pool matches at 11:00 a.m., will see Sullivan play Washington on court one while St. Clair and Union tangle in a Highway 47 showdown on court two.

Capping the morning portion of pool play at 11:45 a.m., on court one will be St. James and Owensville while Pacific and Steelville match up on court two.

Afternoon pool action at 12:30 p.m., will see New Haven and Sullivan battle on court one with Hermann and St. Clair squaring off on court two.

Matches at 1:15 p.m., will see Washington face St. James on court one with a railroad showdown on court two between Union and Pacific.

Owensville’s final pool match at 2:00 p.m., will see them face Sullivan on court one while Steelville and St. Clair will red and each other on court two.

Concluding pool play at 2:45 p.m., on court one will be New Haven and Washington in a Highway 100 match up while Hermann faces Union on court two.

The top two teams from each pool will advance to bracket play at 3:30 p.m., with the championship match set for approximately 4:15 p.m.

Across the parking lot at OHS Field, Steven Kemp’s Owensville Dutchmen baseball team will host a four-team preseason jamboree alongside Hermann’s Bearcats, Cuba’s Wildcats and Belle’s Tigers.

Game one at 10:00 a.m., will be a Gasconade County showdown between the Dutchmen and Bearcats before a Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) match up between Belle and Cuba starts at approximately 11:10 a.m.

Afternoon jamboree baseball action will kick off at 12:20 p.m., with Hermann facing Belle before a Highway 19 diamond clash at 1:30 p.m., between the Dutchmen and Wildcats.

Cuba and Hermann will then face off in a Highway 19 cat fight at 2:40 p.m., before Belle and Owensville meet in Highway 28 diamond action capping the jamboree at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Kim McGee’s Owensville Dutchgirl soccer team will also compete in their preseason jamboree at Blair Oaks High School against the host Falcons and California’s Lady Pintos.

Owensville will take on California at 10:45 a.m., before taking on the host Lady Falcons at 11:30 a.m.
