Peter Steven Elrod, 69, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at Barnes–Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Aug. 3, 1954, a son to the late Clyde and Marjorie (Skouby) Elrod in Belle.
He was a 1972 graduate of Belle High School and received a degree in mechanics from Linn Tech. Pete retired from Emhart Glass in Owensville after 23 years of employment as a Warehouse Manager.
He was united in marriage to Leasa Renae LaBarge, May 27, 1978. To this union, two sons were born, Peter and Lucas.
Pete was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He touched many lives with his humor and silly jokes. He will be remembered and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Majorie; father-in-law and mother-in-law, L.W. LaBarge and Caroline LaBarge; and sisters-in-law Nancy Southard and Pam McAntire.
He is survived by wife of 45 years, Leasa, of their home in Belle; sons, Peter Ryan Elrod and wife Lindsey and Lucas Kyle Elrod and wife Britani; brother, Eric Elrod and wife Laura of Arkansas; and grandchildren, Alec Elrod, Kooper Elrod, Charleigh Elrod, Quinn Elrod, Peyton Elrod, Kelhen Struemph and Kaydyn Struemph; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 9, at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle.
