Gasconade County R-2 Superintendent Dr. Staci Johnson on Aug. 17 reported that there are 12 new teachers district-wide this year, the lowest number in recent history. The group attended new teacher training, which Johnson reported was a great learning experience with meaningful conversation.
Additional staff training included:
• Building and department meetings and alignment
• ALICE training across all buildings
• Substitute, bus driver and para trainings
• Technology trainings across all buildings
• Building collaboration and planning time
• District committee kickoffs for the year
• Curriculum and assessment planning and development time
The next board of education meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 21 at the Administration Building.
