Richard Dean Kitchell, 82, Rosebud, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at Stonebridge of Owensville.
He was born Sept. 23, 1943, to the late Cicero and Ruth (Cunnigham) Kitchell in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Christine Gertrude Sims June 26, 1965, in St. Louis.
Richard enjoyed working on cars, boating and flying with his son Jeff.
He was preceded in death by wife, Christine; and parents, Cicero and Ruth.
Richard is survived by children, Jeffrey Kitchell and wife Janet of St. Louis and Jason Kitchell and wife Lisa of Rosebud; and grandchildren, Emeri Kitchell of Sebastopol, Calif., Aubrey Kitchell of St. Louis and Marina and Bryson Kitchell, both of Rosebud.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 21, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, with Rev. Ronnie Koppelmann officiating.
Interment was in the Schmidt Cemetery near Strain.
