Roland James Garlich, 70, Leslie, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.
He was born Sept. 6, 1950, to Roland Louis and Eleanor (Crews) Garlich, in St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Duncan, Oct. 25, 1969, at Glencoe Community Church of God in Glencoe.
Roland served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Glencoe Community Church of God. He enjoyed going to auctions, camping and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Roland and Eleanor; and son-in-law, Travis Buescher.
He is survived by wife, Shirley, of the home; sons, Greg Garlich and wife Tanja of Gerald and Rodney Garlich and fiancé Amanda Goss of Pacific; daughter, Krystel Buescher of Rosebud; sisters, Patti Baumbach of Union, Shirley Ennis and husband Norman of Leslie and Donna Rivera of Union; grandchildren, Elijah Garlich and fiancé Natalie Lucas, Trent, Tyler and Breana Buescher, Alyssa, Daniel and Savannah Garlich and Nathaniel Schmiedeskamp and fiancé Kelsie Paetek; and great-grandchildren, Lilah Garlich and Athena Schmiedeskamp.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 28, at Glencoe Community Church of God of Catawissa with Bro. Gary Templeton and Bro. Glenn Templeton officiating. Burial was the following day in Jefferson Barracks with full military honors.
