Ronald Gene White, 69, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Union Care Center in Union.
He was born Feb. 12, 1952, to Frank Willie and Clarice (Mistler) White in Washington.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensville where he had accepted Christ as his personal Savior in Oct. 1960. Ronald attended Owensville school system graduating in 1970; attended Central Missouri State University . He graduated in 1974 with degrees in Physical Education and Health and Safety.
Ronald was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a restaurant business in St. Louis. Later he relocated to Lake of the Ozarks where he and two partners operated an iron and steel supply company. Ronald moved back to Owensville when his mother passed and his dad needed assistance. He worked almost 20 years at a local printing company. He was also a member of Owensville Lions Club.
Ronald was a fun loving and big hearted man. Since he had no children, he claimed his nieces and nephews and their families as his children and grandchildren, always keeping up with their activities and bragging about their accomplishments. He had a huge passion for Mizzou women’s sports. He bought season tickets to softball and basketball games with best friends, Sam and Debbie Bennett. Ronald could tell you about every player and knew many of their families as well.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Clarice; four aunts, nine uncles; and many cousins.
Ronald is survived by brothers, John White and wife Myrna of Springfield and Jim White and wife Sue of Owensville; sisters, Janet Hendrickson and husband Carl of Owensville and Violet Bauer of Springfield; aunt, Geraldine Graham; nephews, Barak White, David Hendrickson, Danny Hendrickson and wife Regina, Daryl Hendrickson, Matthew White and wife Jill; nieces, Karis Amsler and husband Mike, Kris Abdalla and husband Abe, Sarah Junk and husband Aaron; 15 great nieces and nephews; two great, great nieces; and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 1 at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
