Ryan Clayton Sellers, 45, Owensville, passed away Sun., Dec. 7, 2025, in his home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1980, to Dale and Shawn (Pointer) Sellers in Jefferson City.
He did not know a stranger and devoted his life to Jesus Christ. Ryan will always be remembered for his quick wittiness, his sarcastic sense of humor, his big heart and willingness to help others. His smile could light up a room, his laughter was contagious and his mischievous grin meant he was up to something.
Ryan was most happy enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and loved ones. He had a special hidden talent with his artistic abilities and his beautiful handwriting. His greatest gifts that brought him the most joy are his sons, Carter and Cooper.
Ryan was preceded in death by his dad, Dale Sellers; and his grandparents, Harry and Sandy Pointer and Jerry and Bertie Hinson.
He is survived by sons, Carter and Cooper of Owensville; mom, Shawn Wehmeyer and husband Gary of Owensville; brother, Trent Sellers of Owensville; sister, Megan Branson and husband Danny of Owensville; stepmom, Susie Sellers of Owensville; stepsisters, Shannon Short and husband Bryan of Union, Amanda Hackstedt and husband Brad of Gerald and Sonjia Sieker and husband Chad of Owensville; stepbrother, Jason Sherman and wife Melissa of Wichita, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec.13, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Evan Hane officiating. Interment was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
