Scott Alan Roethemeyer, 55, Gerald, passed away Friday, July 31, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1971, to the late Dorris (Wesselschmidt) and Harold H. Roethemeyer in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Amy (Jost) Roethemeyer on June 18, 1994, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville.
Scott was a member of Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald, the Owensville Gun Club, Gasconade County 4-H Shooting Sports and an Honorary Member of the Owensville FFA.
He worked as a machinist at the Toolroom in Owensville for over 26 years.
Scott enjoyed farming, hunting and tractor pulling. He also enjoyed teaching youngsters gun safety and shooting skills for the Gasconade County 4-H Shooting Sports and Owensville FFA.
Scott was preceded in death by mother, Dorris.
He is survived by wife Amy, father, Harold of Gerald; children, Megan Roethemeyer and Justin Roethemeyer and friend Ashley Sjostrand, all of Gerald; sister, Kelley Angell and husband Daniel of Gerald; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Susan Jost of Owensville; sister-in-law, Sara Whelan and husband Tim of Owensville; brother-in-law, Matthew Jost and wife Megan of Owensville; niece Katherine Angell and fiance Tyler Heidbrink of Gerald; and nephews, Jacob Angell of Gerald and T.J. and Charlie Whelan, both of Owensville.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in New Haven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7, at Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald, with Pastor Rhonda Winters officiating.
Interment will be in the Ebenezer Stone Church Cemetery in Gerald.
Memorial contributions suggested to Ebenezer Stone Church Cemetery or Gasconade County 4-H Shooting Sports Club.
