Shotwell Road, just east of the Gerald city limits, will be closed this week to all traffic, including emergency vehicles. The Franklin County Health Department closed the road Monday, Jan. 25 for cross culvert replacement where the road passes over Big Creek near the city’s east lagoon. Tuesday, crews were removing dirt above the existing culvert. Michelle Patke with the highway department says work is expected to be completed Friday, Jan. 25, when the road will reopen.
