Tharp named Exemplary New Principal at MAESP

Gerald Elementary School Principal Jared Tharp; Jennifer Lindemeyer, counselor; Jenna Hunt, kindergarten teacher and Stephanie Royle, fifth grade teacher attended the Missouri Association of Elementary Principals (MAESP) conference recently. Tharp was named Exemplary New Principal from the South Central Region.   According to their website, “The Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals is a statewide organization in Missouri that exists to serve the needs of elementary and middle school principals, assistant principals and those educators interested in becoming elementary or middle level principals.” This year’s conference ran from March 5-8 at Osage Beach. Tharp has accepted another position for the 2022-2023 school year and will be leaving the local elementary school.
