So far, Owensville High School’s volleyball, softball and football teams have combined to play 10 contests on the road.
Beginning with Dutchgirl softball’s home showdown against Hermann last night (Tuesday) that number will even out over the next couple of weeks.
Dustin Howard’s Dutchmen football team will have their first home game of the season Friday night when Warrenton’s Warriors pay a visit to Dutchmen Field for the first time since the 2000 season for a 7 p.m., kickoff.
Hannah Koppelmann’s Dutchgirl softball team will also have three more home games during a four-day stretch hosting Lutheran South Saturday morning before welcome Belle and Sullivan to OHS Field respectively next Monday and Tuesday.
Playing on the road during the first two weeks of the season, Jamie Ridenhour’s Owensville Dutchgirl volleyball squads will finally get to play on their home court next week.
After competing over the weekend in the Melissa Hoerber Volleyball Tournament at Fulton High School, Owensville will have a pair of home matches starting next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., against Capital City’s Lady Cavaliers in addition to another home tripleheader on Thursday, Sept. 14 hosting Fatima’s Lady Comets.
Matt Candrl’s OHS Cross Country teams will host home meets on Tuesday, Oct. 10 and 17.
