In addition to Owensville’s duo of Felix Guerrero and Ilene Limberg, the Four Rivers Conference (FRC) will be well represented this weekend during the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Cross Country Championships to be held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.

Runners from Sullivan, St. Clair, Union and Pacific will compete on Friday, Nov. 4 during the Class 4 races in Columbia.

Union had two boys and a girl qualify for state with top-30 finishes during the MSHSAA Class 4, District 2 meet in Nixa.

Adding to his FRC championship two weeks ago, Wildcat senior Bryson Pickard placed fourth at Nixa in a time of 16:24.04. Taylor Meyer will also join Pickard at state with a 13th-place time of 16:59.12 at districts.

Kelsey Brake will represent the Lady Wildcats at state after placing 27th in a time of 20:58.05.

Sullivan’s trio of Aiden Kirk, Abram Denny and Emily Willman also posted top-30 finishes during their Class 4, District 2 meet in Nixa Saturday.

Willman placed third in 19:29.84 while Kirk was 21st in 17:28.14 followed closely by Denny with a 22nd-place time of 17:28.33.

Pacific also qualified one girl and two boys for state cross country during their district meet in Nixa.

Lady Indian freshman Grace Dryer booked her spot in Columbia with a 13th-place time of 20:25.38.

In the Class 4 boys race at Nixa, the Pacific duo of senior Nick Hunkins (17th, 17:18.00) and freshman Ben Smith (19th, 17:25.74) will make it a trio of purple runners from Franklin County in Columbia.

St. Clair will also have three runners representing the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs in Columbia.

Also competing in Nixa, the Lady Bulldog duo of Brooklyn Cannon (23rd, 20:51.38) and Melodi Miller (26th, 20:57.89) qualified for state along with Bulldog harrier Thomas Perkins who placed 29th in 17:41.22.

Vanessa Perona was the lone St. James harrier to qualify for state out of Class 3, District 1 at Arcadia Valley with a fourth-place time of 20:11.62.

New Haven’s duo of Janelle Cronin (14th, 22:27.85) and Sydney Grubb (20th, 22:44.82) will represent the Lady Shamrocks in Columbia from the Class 1, District 1 meet at Arcadia Valley.

Back in Fulton, Hermann’s Lady Bearcats placed second behind Metro in the team standings.

Qualifying for state in blue and white include Katy Menke (1st), Amelia Uthlaut (5th), Alaina Heaney (17th), Alaina Worland (26th), Jocelynn Neill (29th) and Elaina Uthlaut (31st). Nolan Kopp (5th) and John Hiatt (30th) will join their Lady Bearcat counterparts at state.
