This year the Gerald Area Library and the Rock Island Bloomers will co-host the annual Trunk or Treat on Main Street. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. from Fitzgerald Ave. (U.S. Highway 50) to Fourth Street.
Businesses, organizations and individuals are encouraged to bring their decorated trunks and candy to distribute to the local children. Trunks should be in place at 4:30 p.m.
Anyone who would like to donate candy for the event may drop it off at the library, Wednesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. or from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Trunk or Treats were designed to allow a safe place for youngsters to go trick-or-treating, but there will still be time for them to visit other areas.
