She was born on April 1, 1944, to the late Amos and Ethel (DeGuire) AuBuchon in Flat River.

She was raised on the family farm in the French Village outside of Bonne Terre.

Dee was a proud Catholic and a member of the Church of the Risen Savior in Rhineland.

She was a dedicated educator and taught physical education at Crystal City, Bonne Terre and in the Parkway School District.

She had a deep love for all forms of art including drawing, painting, and photography. Dee enjoyed traveling to all sporting events for her children and grandchildren, as well as spending time in her flower garden and cooking. She also had a special love for all kinds of animals.

Known for her sweet and silly personality, Dee brought joy to those around her.

She was preceded in death by parents, Amos and Ethel; brother, Melvin AuBuchon; and sister, Virginia “Jenny” Akins.

Dee is survived by her husband, Michael “Mike”; children, Evan Michael Pratte and wife Jill and Krista Leigh Klostermann and husband Kurt Jacob; grandchildren, Karleigh and Paul; sister-in-law, Patricia “Pat” (Gremminger) AuBuchon; brother-in-law, James “Jim” Akins; along with many other family members and friends.

Private funeral services will be held for immediate family members in Rhineland. A Celebration of Life will be held at a late date for extended family and friends.

Memorial contributions suggested to the historic church and pilgrimage site in Starkenburg, — officially known as the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows and its sister parish Church of the Risen Savior.

Arrangements entrusted to Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann.
