Donald Karl Althauser, 90, Hermann, passed away on Oct. 22, 2026, at his home.
He was born on July 19, 1936, to the late to Jennie and Karl Althauser in Fostoria, Ohio.
After graduating from high school, he moved to Boonville and attended the University of Missouri Columbia law school.
Don served his country in the U.S. Navy,
He was united in marriage to Anne Beavers, on June 20,1964.
Don worked in law serving the city of Hermann, New Haven and other nearby towns, the Hermann Area District Hospital and did pro bono work for the Crusade Against Cancer.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jennie and Karl.
Don is survived by wife, Anne; children, Lucinda Krutzsch and husband Joe and Jon Althauser and wife Amy; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon until 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, followed by a memorial service at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann.
Memorial contributions suggested to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer or St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann.
