Verbeth Elizabeth Decker, 87, Owensville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1939, to the late Marcus John and Adelia Maria (Roehl) Fleischmann in Bland.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Owensville.
Verbeth was preceded in death by parents, Marcus and Adelia; and brothers,Wayne and Norman Fleischmann.
She is survived by children, Billy E. Decker and wife Claire of Lafayette, La., Edwin Decker and wife Sherri of Newbern, Tenn.,Vicki L. Weidner and husband Jeffrey of Owensville and Gary L. Decker and wife Nice of Union; stepsister, Ann Harvey of Jefferson City; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville on Tuesday, Oct. 6, with Pastor David Roth officiating. Her cremains will be interred at a later date in Feuersville Lutheran Cemetery in Feuersville, in Osage County.
