Victor “Vic” John Renkemeyer, 93, Vienna, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Stonebridge Senior Living in Westphalia.

He was born on Dec. 4, 1928, to Lawrence and Francis (Laubert) Renkemeyer in Vienna.

He was united in marriage to Mable Marie Brandel, Feb. 13, 1954, at Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna.

Vic served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He returned to Vienna where he spent his life farming. He was a lifelong member of Visitation Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Francis; wife Mable; son Mike Renkemeyer; step-daughter Beatrice Wansing; sisters Viola Richardson and husband John, Irene Stegeman and husband Victor, Delores Markway and husband Francis, Lillian Redel and husband Charles, and infant sister Thelma Renkemeyer; brothers and sisters-in-law Bill Rehagen, Bob Rehagen, Harold Heckman, Velma Renkemeyer, Mike Brandel, Lawrence Brandel, Nora Schmitz, Agnes Kloeppel, Teresa Bauer, Sara Meyer, Dorothy Kloeppel, and Mary Kloeppel.

He is survived by his step-son Harold Wansing of Park Hills; siblings Naoma Rehagen of Springfield, Bernice Heckman of Wardsville, Lucille Buehler of Springfield, Irma Richter and husband Joe of Freeburg, and Don Renkemeyer of Jefferson City; and one step-grandson.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, March 8, at Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. Interment will follow at Visitation Cemetery, Vienna, with full military honors.
