Virginia “Ginger” Sloan, 87, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Stone Bridge Senior Living in Hermann.
She was born on May 1, 1939, a daughter of the late Earnest and Velma (Harrison) Clausen in Anita, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Jimmy Lee Sloan Sept. 21, 1965, in Midwest, Wyo.
Ginger ran the Silver Dollar Bar in Swiss and the Dutch Mill in Drake during her working years.
She enjoyed traveling with her siblings, spending time with her family, crocheting and playing Bingo.
Ginger was preceded in death by husband, Jimmy; parents, Ernest and Velma; brother, Dale Clausen; and infant son, Robert Dobson.
She is survived by daughters, Deb Krull and husband Jim of Owensville and Sheryl Herrick and Sandy Cardena, both of Casper, Wyo.; sons, Rick Dobson of Hermann and Steve Sloan and wife Cindy of Swiss; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Williams of Casper, Wyo.; and brother-in-law, Bill Sloan of Swiss.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m., on Monday, July 20, at St. James Charlotte Church dinning hall on Highway 50 between Rosebud and Drake.
