Adoree Jean Brandt, 89, Owensville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Frene Valley Stonebridge of Owensville.
She was born Sept. 9, 1931, to Leslie and Eunice (Krause) Holzschuh, in Bland.
She was united in marriage to Melvin Brandt, Nov. 13, 1948, in Fulton, Ark.
Adoree was a member of Belmont Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Leslie and Eunice; husband, Melvin; brothers, Carl and Charles Holschuh; sisters, Willadeen Carpenter, Adelene White, Mary Jane Angell and one in infancy; brothers-in-law, Wayne Carpenter and Morris White; and sister-in-law, Delsea Holzschuh.
She is survived by children, Loretta Kohlbusch and husband Dennis of Bland and Leon Brandt and wife Sharon of Grovetown, Ga.; sister-in-law, Margaret Holzschuh; brother-in-law, Marvin Angell of Gerald; grandchildren, Tiffany Kohlbusch of Owensville, Tim Ortmeyer and wife Kim of Valdosta, Ga., Jennifer Roberson and husband Justin of Vienna, Michael Ortmeyer and wife Kim of San Antonio, Texas, and Lindsey Kitchen and husband Bert of Grovetown, Ga.; and by 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery. The funeral home requests attendees observe covid restrictions. Masks are suggested but not mandatory. Memorial contributions suggested to family’s choice.
