Arraignment hearings for the Bland couple accused of killing Jesse Robbins in late November have been rescheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Gasconade County Associate Circuit Court.
Brooke Allison Buddemeyer and Aaron Michael “Foozball” Lewis both remain in custody, jailed on $750,000 and $500,000 cash or surety bonds respectively on allegations of second-degree murder in Robbins’ Nov. 25 death by gunshot. Buddemeyer is also charged with armed criminal action.
According to charging documents led with the application for felony warrants against the two, Robbins reportedly told his friend that Buddemeyer shot him as he struggled in a physical altercation with Lewis in a yard across from his friend’s mobile home. Robbins died on his friend’s porch. Buddemeyer was Robbins’ step-daughter.
Court records show Buddemeyer and Lewis sharing the same address off of Route B, south of Bland.
Both appeared in custody before Associate Circuit Judge Ada Brehe-Krueger on Dec. 20. Their arraignments scheduled for that day have been continued and rescheduled for next Wednesday, court records indicate.
Courtney Maurine Harness, a public defender based out of Union, is listed as the attorney for both Buddemeyer and Lewis. Court records show she led a motion for discovery of evidence on Dec. 18 for each them along with an entry of appearance for both.
Buddemeyer and Lewis fled the state and were captured a week later in north-central Florida near the Georgia state line following a high-speed pursuit with Madison County sheriff’s deputies and city of Madison police. Lawmen captured them after deflating the tires of the Nissan that Lewis was driving. Police discovered stolen license South Carolina plates on the car.
They both waived their right against extradition and were returned to Missouri by Gasconade County deputies during the early morning hours of Dec. 18.
