Bland’s Bears, Lady Bears see mixed results Friday night against St. Elizabeth
St. Elizabeth’s Hornets and Lady Hornets paid a visit to Bland Middle School Friday night for a basketball tripleheader to take on the host Bears and Lady Bears. Lady Bears defending St. Elizabeth during their 42-26 victory (above, from left) include Adalyn Walters, Saige Garner, Cylee Reed and Ava Feeler. Anastyn Lansford led the Lady Bears with 17 points followed closely by Walters with 15 points.

Bland’s duo of Bear defenders (right, from left) against the seventh- grade Hornets include Hank Willis and Kooper Elrod. Bland’s Bears dropped the 7th-grade game 24-3 with Connor Weigel scoring two points for Bland and Willis scoring one point. In the 8th-grade game, Bland also fell to St. Elizabeth 33-15 led by Luke Rohrer’s eight points.
