A motorcyclists attempting to pass a group of westbound Highway 28 vehicle a mile west of the U.S. 50 junction on Friday evening ended up hitting the second vehicle in line of motorists heading east.
Trintyn A. Hanna, 19, of Owensville suffered moderate injuries in the crash reported at 8:15 p.m. March 4, according to a report by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Brian A. Lange. Hanna was driving a 2008 Kawasaki west on Highway 28 and was attempting to overtake the lead westbound vehicle when he struck an eastbound 2022 Dodge Ram being driven by Brad R. Patton, 45, of Washington, Mo. Patton’s vehicle had minor damage and was driven away from the scene. The motorcycle had moderate damage and was removed by Triple L Towing. Hanna was transported by Owensville Area Ambulance District for treatment as Mercy South.
Patton was wearing a seat belt. Hanna was not wearing a helmet, according to Lange’s report.
