With district assignments and locations now out for most of Missouri, Owensville’s Dutchmen and Dutchgirls will see either familiar or different scenery come the month of May.

Cullen VanLeer’s Owensville Dutchmen golf team will see different district opponents and a new location for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3, District 2 Golf Tournament.

Hosted by Southern Boone High School at Eagle Knoll Golf Course in Hartsburg, the orange and black will see a lot of different opposing schools they wouldn’t normally see during the regular season.

Teams remaining in Class 3, District from last year along with Owensville include Blair Oaks, Father Tolton Regional Catholic, Fulton, Hallsville, Mexico, Orchard Farm, Southern Boone, St. Charles West, Whitfield, Winfield and Wright City.

St. Francis Borgia was bumped up to Class 4, District 1 while O’Fallon Christian was dropped down to Class 2, District 2.

University City was moved to Class 3, District 1.

Fatima and Centralia were bumped up to Class 3 after being in Class 2 golf last spring.

Macon came over from Class 3, District 4 last year.

Matt Candrl’s Dutchmen and Dutchgirl track teams will face same schools for their MSHSAA Class 3, District 5 Track Meet that will be hosted by Waynesville High School in addition to the MSHSAA Class 5, District 5 meet.

Schools that will be competing against the Dutchmen and Dutchgirls come mid-May include Ava, Blair Oaks, Buffalo, Cuba, Fatima, Houston, Liberty (Mountain View), Mountain Grove, Salem, St. James and Willow Springs.

After districts, Owensville’s sectional track meet will take them into south-central Missouri and West Plains High School.

Kalyn Kemp’s Owensville Dutchgirl soccer team will see a few new teams and a new district site during the MSHSAA Class 2, District 4 Soccer Tournament.

Hosted by Westminster Christian Academy, the Dutchgirls will compete against the host Lady Wildcats, Blair Oaks, Principia, St. Clair, St. James, Sullivan and Whitfield.

Whitfield made the jump to Class 2 after competing last spring in Class 1, District 4.

Clayton was moved to Class 2, District 2 while the defending district champion Mary Institute Country Day School (MICDS) Lady Rams were bumped up to Class 3, District 3 due to having enough championship factor points.

Steven Kemp’s Owensville Dutchmen baseball team will have the luxury of once again hosting the MSHSAA Class 4, District 4 Tournament this spring at OHS Field.

Remaining unchanged, the host Dutchmen will compete alongside Cuba, Salem, St. Clair, St. James and Sullivan.
