Throughout this coming Friday night and all day Saturday, Owensville High School (OHS) will be transformed into a volleyball paradise.

A total of 36 teams will invade OHS for the annual Owensville Girls Volleyball Club fourth, fifth and sixth-grade tournaments to be held inside both the OHS small and main gymnasiums.

Fourth-grade tournament action will start at 5 p.m., with pool-play matches until approximately 8 p.m., before bracket play begins shortly thereafter.

Owensville Orange will be in Pool A with Steelville White, Union and Bourbon while Owensville Black will be in Pool B with Salem, New Haven and Steelville Red.

Making up Pool C in fourth-grade tournament action will be Cuba, St. Clair, Belle and Pacific.

Players on the Owensville Orange roster include Jayden Lowe, Belle Cobb, Lylah Manson, Tyler Little, Lydia Schaning, Hunter Gibson, Hudsyn Sieckmann and Madilyn Wiseman.

They will be coached by Jamie Cobb and Megan Little.

Owensville Black volleyball team members include Bryli Blaue, Brooklyn Blaue, Bella Duncan, Halle Hengstenberg, Burke Heidbrink, Elise Frolker, Madi Green, Katelyn Levin and Kayla Hall.

Jamie Blaue and Tera Duncan will be coaching the Owensville Black team.

Owensville Orange will have pool matches at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7:30 p.m., while their black-team counterparts will compete in pool matches at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Fifth-grade tournament action at OHS will kick off at 8 a.m., with Owensville Orange in Pool A along with Steelville, Union and Bourbon.

Owensville Black will be in Pool B with New Haven, Viburnum and Sullivan.

Pool C teams in fifth-grade action include Cuba, St. Clair, Belle and Pacific.

Coached by Olivia and Janet Coppedge, Owensville’s fifth-grade orange volleyball team roster consists of Ellie Albright, Ella Homeyer, Gemma Hecht, Abby Corbitt, Audrey Little, Adalynn Oldfather, Karley Jones, Emma Rhoads, Kambria Krupp, Aubree Stockton and Sophia Elliott.

Volleyball players making up Owensville’s fifth-grade black team roster include Reagan Tainter, Ragen Tucker, Tynzlee Thomas, Alexis Christensen, Kendra Sullinger, Ollie Ray, Kamillah Ridenhour, Katharine Criswell, Ayla Eiler, Liliana Colula and Lillian Franchi.

They are coached by Becker Tucker and Karri Tainter.

Pool matches for Owensville Orange will be at 8 a.m., 9 a.m., and 10:30 a.m., while Owensville Black will have pool matches at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 10 a.m.

Capping a 36-hour stretch of weekend volleyball will be sixth-grade tournament action scheduled to start at approximately 1 p.m., following the conclusion of the fifth-grade tournament.

Teams joining Owensville Orange in Pool A will include St. Clair, Cuba and Steelville while Owensville Black will be in Pool B alongside Union, Salem and Bourbon.

Pool C teams in sixth-grade tournament action include Belle, Lonedell, Sullivan and Pacific.

Coached by Michelle Huellinghoff, the sixth-grade Owensville Orange volleyball roster will consist of Jorja Johnston, Nora Clancy, Sophia Terrill, Jewel Draheim, Ellie Bay, Lily Rossi, Kara Downing and Mallory Stockton.

Owensville Black volleyball team players include Khloe Thomas, Kiera Hamm, Kat Buhr, Lydia Barnwell, Adelyn McDonald, Allison Evans, Zaylie Gromer, Jordyn Crosby and Charley Tayloe.

They’re coached by Ryan Hampton and Breanna Diestelkamp.

Owensville Orange will have pool matches at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., while their Owensville Black counterparts will play their pool matches at 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Admission charges will be $3 for adults and $2 for students.

A concession stand will be available throughout both tournament days with no outside food or drink permitted.
