HERMANN – A Gasconade County resident is in line to be recognized for community service at the upcoming annual dinner event of Meramec Regional Planning Commission (MRPC).
This year’s Annual Dinner & Awards Program is set for Thursday, Oct. 29, at Bear River Ranch in Rolla. Phelps County is playing host to this year’s annual gathering during which individuals and organizations in the Meramec Region will be recognized for their service to the communities in the eight-county region.
“Volunteers are a tremendous resource in our rural areas,” noted MRPC Executive Director Bonnie Prigge. “It’s through volunteers that projects get accomplished and things happen. Recognizing these efforts in the region is the very least we can do for the work they accomplished,” she said.
Prigge withheld the identity of award winners until they receive a letter from the planning agency notifying them of the honor. Information about the individuals and organizations to be recognized will be provided in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the annual event cost $40 each. For more information or to order tickets, contact the planning agency at 573-265-2993 or online at www.meramecregion.org.
