Here comes October

With fall officially starting over the weekend, that is one indication the month of October is nearly upon us.

Entering the halfway point of the fall sports season, Hannah Koppelmann’s Owensville Dutchgirl softball team will have four October home games to close out the regular season against Cuba, South Callaway, Montgomery County and Wright City.

Dustin Howard’s Owensville Dutchmen will play three of their last four regular season home games at Dutchmen Field against Pacific this Friday in addition to Sullivan on Oct. 13 and St. Clair on Oct. 20 before starting district action on Friday, Oct. 27.

Matt Candrl’s Owensville High School cross country teams will begin pursuit of a Gasconade County hat trick next Tuesday at the Hermann Invitational before competing on their home course in the Owensville Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 10 in addition to hosting the annual Four Rivers Conference (FRC) Cross Country meet on Tuesday, Oct. 17 throughout the Gasconade County R-2 Campus.

Jamie Ridenhour’s Owensville Dutchgirl volleyball squads will have three regular-season home matches remaining against Union, Blair Oaks and St. James before hosting the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 3, District 9 Volleyball Tournament.
