The ceiling was raised last year to accommodate its height and the Manroland press acquired for the Owensville’s Lakeside Book Company plant was rolling on full throttle this past week.
“We couldn't be more pleased with the efforts of our press crews.,” said Richard Dunn, vice president of manufacturing for Lakeside’s Owensville plant. “They’ve worked hard to prepare themselves for the start up by training for two weeks each in Willard, Ohio, and then on the job training in Owensville.”
Crew members were training this past Wednesday with supervision from the manufacturer and the plant from where it was acquired. Friday they were flying the press on their own.
“While we still have a few issues to work out, our startup has certainly met or exceeded our expectations,” said Dunn this week. “It’s great to see this new investment in operation. It’s great to see this new investment in Owensville! Hats off to these dedicated employees that make our company successful!”
