Matthew Joshua Honse, 31, Dixon, died on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, near Vienna, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on Feb. 21, 1995, to Garry and Sherry (Elliott) Honse in Rolla.
He was united in marriage to Katie Honse on March 28, 2015, at the Sheppard Baptist Church near Dixon.
At the time of his passing, Matthew was employed with Quaker Window Products in Freeburg and served as a volunteer firefighter with the Dixon Rural Fire Protection District.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Gerald and Mattie Lou Honse and Frank and Sharlene Elliott.
Matthew is survived by parents, Garry and Sherry; children, Madeline Louise and Kyler Andrew Honse; brother, Jeremy Sharp and wife Ashley; and sister, Makayla Honse and boyfriend Parker Yager.
Funeral service was held on Oct. 20, in the First Baptist Church in Vienna, with Bro. Ryan Hogshooter of Grace Community Church in Dixon and Bro. James Wyatt of Dover, Tenn. officiating.
Interment was in the Little Flock Cemetery near Vienna.
Memorial contributions suggested to a Scholarship Fund for Madeline and Kyler Honse at the Maries County Bank.
