Come with us as we cruise down to Owensville High School’s small gym to see this year’s musical production of “Grease.”
At the heart of the story is the romance between hot-rodding gangster, Danny Zuko (senior, Brayden Kuebler) and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski (senior, Lauren Shields).
They had a secret romance over summer, but now back in the context of school, peer-pressure and cliques make their love a bit more complicated. Can Danny maintain his cool dude status and still make shy Sandy his girl?
The Pink Ladies, Rizzo (senior, Josie Wilka), Frenchy (senior, Katelynn Bertram), Marty (senior, Alexia Alexander), and Jan (senior Kiana Guerrero), and the Greasers, Kenickie (sophomore, Jadan Zelch), Sonny (senior Will Muehlhausen), Roger (sophomore, James Cooper) and Doody (freshman, Kaitlyn Lange) sing and dance around Danny and Sandy’s romance, through hit songs such as “Greased Lightnin’”, “We Go Together,” and “Born to Hand Jive.”
Show dates are Thursday, Nov. 10, and Friday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m.
Ticket prices are $3 for students and senior citizens and $6 for adults.
You’re not going to want to miss this highschool PG classic that’s been dubbed the “world’s most-popular musical.”
