Joseph Allen Hudson of Owensville has been charged with the class E felony of third degree domestic assault following a Dec. 24 report by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office (FCSO).
According to the probable cause statement, the alleged victim — his girlfriend at the time — advised she was riding in a vehicle Hudson was driving on Walls Ford Road on Dec. 22 in St. Clair when she attempted to tell him she did not want to be with him. She reported that Hudson became irate, started driving erratically, told her he was going to wreck the vehicle into a tree and then started hitting her with a closed fist in the arm, bit the let side of her face and bit her left pointer finger. The officer noted observing a large bruise on the victim’s arm, a bruise on her face “approximately the size of a bite mark” and a puncture wound which “appeared to be from a tooth” on her pointer finger. The report noted she received injuries only on the left side consistent with being seated in the front passenger seat.
Hudson was taken into custody Dec. 24 on a warrant issued with bond set at $10,000, 10-percent or surety. He remained in custody at the Franklin County Adult Detention Center in Union as of Tuesday with his next hearing scheduled for Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. with Judge Mark Brinkmann presiding.
