Throughout this coming Saturday at Owensville High School, the above headline is a fitting warning considering that there will be four youth football games going on at the same time as the annual Owensville Dutchgirl Softball Tournament.
Action Saturday at OHS Field during the softball tournament will begin at 8 a.m., with the host Dutchgirls facing off against Pacific’s Lady Indians.
This will be followed by a 9:45 a.m., showdown pitting Vienna’s Lady Eagles against Russellville’s Lady Indians. Vienna already owns a 10-3 victory over Russellville from last Tuesday.
Morning softball at OHS Field will conclude with an 11:25 a.m., contest between Pacific and Russellville.
By the time that game gets underway, an Owensville Youth Football Association (OYFA) quadrupleheader will kick off at 10 a.m., with Owensville’s fifth-grade Dutchmen facing Pacific at 10 a.m.
Owensville’s fifth-grade Dutchmen will be looking to bounce back on their home turf this weekend after falling 26-18 on the road this past Saturday in Sullivan.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Owensville’s sixth-grade Dutchmen football team will take the field against St. James’ Tigers.
Back at OHS Field, afternoon tournament softball action will begin at around 1:05 p.m., with Owensville facing Vienna followed at 2:45 p.m., by Pacific playing their final tournament game against Vienna.
Capping the Owensville Softball Tournament at approximately 4:25 p.m., will be the host Dutchgirls facing Russellville.
Moving back to Dutchmen Field, Owensville’s seventh-grade football Dutchmen will host Blair Oaks’ Falcons at 1 p.m., followed at approximately 2:30 p.m., with Owensville’s eighth-grade football Dutchmen also taking on Blair Oaks.
Owensville’s seventh-grade Dutchmen will look to make it two wins in a row this Saturday after defeating Linn’s Wildcats 6-0 on the road in Osage County this past Saturday.
Saturday’s contest against Blair Oaks will be the second game of the week for Owensville’s eighth-grade Dutchmen after they took on Cuba’s Wildcats last night (Tuesday) at Dutchmen Field.
