Retiring Gasconade County Collector of Revenue Shawn Schlottach has released her final fiscal year report on county tax collections.
The Collector of Revenue’s fiscal year ended Feb. 28, 2026, with total collections of $19,388,354.83. The 2025 collection rate was 95 percent as of Feb. 28. Total charges are listed at $20,553,983.80 and equal credits listed for disbursements at $20,553,983.80.
Total current taxes of $19,085,730.42 are listed among total collections of $19,388,354.83. Total back taxes still owed are $1,111,057.36 with $1,094,367.40 listed as delinquent.
The total of all other collections is $357,196.02 and there were $71,261.57 in taxes which were abated. There were no protested taxes.
The year-end report noted collections include railroad and utility taxes, M & M licenses, forest crop land, payments in lieu of taxes, and levee districts along with late penalties and fees.

Schlottach’s report details money disbursed to multiple entities including area schools, ambulance and fire protection districts along with the county’s Road and Bridge Department, and the six municipalities based on their respective taxing rates.
The county collects personal property and real estate taxes for the cities of Owensville, Hermann, Bland, Rosebud, Morrison and Gasconade.

Or you may mail in payment, pay in person, pay online at www.gasconadecountycollector.com or use the 800 telephone number located on the tax bill to pay by phone. Delinquent property tax statements are to be mailed on May 1.
