A crash on Highway 100 in Franklin County on April 13 left two adults and a juvenile dead, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 8:45 p.m. westbound on Missouri 100 east of Dundee Road. The report said that a 2011 Nissan Sentra crossed the center line and struck a 2020 Ford Explorer head-on.

The driver of the Sentra, a 42-year-old woman from Hermann, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 47-year-old male occupant from Hermann was also pronounced dead at the scene. A 10-year-old juvenile female occupant was transported by Washington County Ambulance to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where she later died.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, a 70-year-old woman from New Haven, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Washington by Washington County Ambulance.

According to the report, neither the driver nor the adult occupant in the Sentra were wearing a safety device. The juvenile occupant was reported as wearing a safety device. The driver of the Explorer was also wearing a safety device.

The report indicates the Sentra was traveling eastbound and the Explorer westbound at the time of the crash. After the collision, the Explorer traveled off the right side of the roadway into a ditch.

All vehicles involved were totaled and removed from the scene by Sturm’s Towing.

Emergency personnel from multiple agencies responded, including the Washington Fire District, Washington Ambulance District, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, New Haven Police Department and Hermann Police Department.

The crash was investigated by Cpl. J. Langley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. By policy, the MSHP no longer identifies drivers or passengers involved in motor vehicle crashes.
