OWENSVILLE —Three individuals from outside the area were charged Jan. 19 in Gasconade County with alcohol-related misdemeanors, two of which stemmed from separate motor vehicle accidents.
Holley Elizabeth Hagedorn of Jefferson City faces a class D misdemeanor charge of minor visibly intoxicated, first offense, following a single-vehicle crash July 19, 2025, near the Dutch Mill gas station near Drake. GCSO reported being dispatched to the accident at 1:39 a.m., where deputies located a white car that had crashed into an abandoned, partially destroyed building.
Hagedorn, the driver, reportedly told officers the crash occurred after she looked down at her phone and failed to see a stop sign. The officer noted a faint odor of intoxicants and administered a preliminary breath test, recording a result of 0.068-percent blood alcohol concentration (BAC).
A second test conducted at the Owensville Police Department (OPD) was listed with a result of 0.042-percent BAC. The legal BAC limit for drivers age 20 and younger in Missouri is 0.02 percent.
Jessica C. Paray of St. Louis was charged with misdemeanors DWI (class B) and no insurance (class D) in connection with a motor vehicle accident July 14, 2025, near Lake Northwoods by the dam. According to the probable cause statement, GCSO arrived on scene just before 7:30 p.m., where an officer reported Paray had bloodshot, watery eyes and a strong odor of intoxicants on her breath.
Paray reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the accident.
GCSO reported a preliminary breath test result of 0.272-percent BAC and a final breath test at OPD of 0.223-percent BAC. In Missouri, the legal BAC limit for drivers age 21 and older is 0.08-percent.
Michael L. Overkamp of Rhineland was charged with the class B misdemeanor DWI and the infraction of no license plate light, stemming from a traffic stop July 31, 2025, in Hermann.
GCSO reported that Overkamp was pulled over for an inoperable license plate light around 10:55 p.m. The officer noted observing numerous beer cans in plain view inside the vehicle.
According to the probable cause statement, Overkamp initially denied drinking but later admitted to having “a few” drinks that evening and the officer reported smelling intoxicants on his breath. The officer reported preliminary and final breath test results of 0.09-percent BAC.
All three have separate initial appearances scheduled for Feb. 11 at 9 a.m. in Gasconade County Division IV Court with Judge Ada Brehe-Krueger presiding.
