Mason Griffith, Rosebud’s police chief and a patrolman for Hermann’s department, conducted a two-hour certification course June 30 for Owensville firemen on administering NARCAN in an opioid overdose situation or an accidental exposure episode to a substance like Fentanyl for emergency responders in the field. Fire Chief Jeff Arnold said the department will be certified to carry emergency doses to treat both themselves in case of an accidental exposure to the highly toxic Fentanyl or victims of an overdose they may come in contact with at crash or fire scenes.
