Among several things, one will be heavily on Owensville Dutchmen head football coach Dustin Howard’s mind come Friday night.

That one thing will be bringing the Gasconade County Bowl trophy back to Owensville after Hermann won following last year’s gridiron showdown at Dutchmen Field.

“I want that trophy back,” Howard said following Owensville’s 43-22 Four Rivers Conference (FRC) road victory Friday night in St. James.

Both Owensville and Hermann enter Friday night’s contest at Bearcat Memorial Stadium with identical 3-1 records.

Hermann is coming off of a 63-0 win at Cuba led by quarterback Trenton Lampkin who has amassed 832 yards and nine touchdowns through the air on 43-74 passing.

Lampkin also lead the Bearcats on the ground with 170 yards rushing on 41 carries and five more scores.

Lampkin’s favorite receiving target will be Daeden Hopkins who has 373 yards receiving on 20 catches and five touchdowns.

Defensively, the Bearcats are led by Brady Grosse with 34 total tackles and Hopkins with a team-leading four sacks.

Caden Humphrey also leads Hermann with a pair of fumble recoveries.

Owensville will be led by senior quarterback Blake Elliott who currently has 638 yards through the air on 41-72 passing with seven touchdowns and an interception.

He also leads the team with 304 yards rushing on 37 carries through three games.

Tanner Meyer is Elliott’s favorite receiving target with 288 yards through the air on 14 receptions and three touchdowns.

For the Dutchmen on defense, junior linebacker Jaden Gerlemann shows the way with 48 total tackles followed by 30 from Logan Bailey.

Isaiah Gates leads the OHS secondary with three interceptions.
