The pair each face a class D felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and class A misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.

According to the probable cause statement by a task force officer with the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG), the warrant was executed in partnership with Owensville Police Department (OPD) and Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).

LANEG reports each item field testing positive for methamphetamine. GCSO reported the amount of methamphetamine confiscated to be approximately one-half gram.

Warrants were issued and served April 1 with bond set at $10,000 for each suspect and both were taken into custody at Franklin County Detention Center. Margaret Wood was released on bond and the court has noted a date of April 29 was provided for the next hearing. A bond review hearing has been scheduled for today (Wednesday, April 8) at 9 a.m. with Judge Ada Brehe-Krueger presiding.
