BLAND — The Bland Municipal Court reported collecting $275.50 in fines during January, according to its February 2026 court report and municipal division summary filing.
Of that amount, $1.09 was paid to the Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission, $7.78 went to the Crime Victims’ Compensation Fund and $7.64 was paid into the Court Automation Fund for Case.net and Show Me Courts software. After required disbursements, the city retained $258.99 in fines.
Court activity for the month included 26 new citations scheduled for arraignment, 11 show-cause cases for failure to appear, nine continued cases, one trial and three bond hearings. The court reported 11 warrants issued for failure to appear.
According to the Municipal Division Summary Reporting Form filed with the Office of State Courts Administrator, the Bland Municipal Court began the reporting period with 168 cases pending across all categories. During the month, 26 new cases were filed in traffic and non-traffic ordinance categories. Eight cases were disposed of, including five guilty pleas in other traffic cases and three dismissals.
At the end of the reporting period, the court listed 186 cases pending, including one alcohol-or-drug-related traffic case, 103 other traffic cases and 82 non-traffic ordinance violations.
The court reported no jury trials, bench trial convictions or acquittals, appeals or trial de novo filings during the reporting period.
Warrant data submitted to the state shows no new warrants issued or served during the reporting period, with 39 warrants outstanding at the end of the month.
Financial records show total excess revenue of $243.37 from fines and fees subject to statutory limits. Additional revenue not subject to excess limitations totaled $24.49. Total disbursements for the month matched collections at $275.50, with no bond refunds issued.
The next Bland Municipal Court date is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 at the John L. Baxter City Administration Building.
