Volunteers set to host 23rd free Thanksgiving meal for Hermann community

HERMANN — The 23rd annual community-wide Free Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted by volunteers and generous donations, will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27. This free meal is for the Hermann and surrounding communities, with the usual inside dining, carry-outs and meal delivery.

This dinner is for anyone who would like to receive a meal. Pick-up time for carry-out’s is 11:30 a.m. and inside dining begins at noon and continues until 2 p.m. at the Hermann United Methodist Church, located at 136 Highway 100 West.

For anyone who does not have transportation to do inside dining or carry-out, the meal can be delivered by the volunteers.

Reservations are required for either inside dining, carry-out or delivery. Reservations will be accepted now, but no later than Monday, Nov. 24. Reservations are required in order to have enough food prepared for the meal.

The United Methodist Church basement will be open for donations Wednesday, Nov, 26, from 2 to 5 p.m.
