This is a call to all Pastors and Christians to speak out on life and what will be on our ballot this November. Please educate others in this fight to pull our state out of the cultural of death we are providing in our laws.
What we have now is a constitutional amendment - it is in our MO constitution that allows abortion all nine months for any reason, with no parental consent (which allows sex traffickers to bring youth here for that), and no informed consent, which means they do not have to explain any side effects, etc. Also a doctor does not have to do this procedure, it is open to any medical professional as per the language in the constitution. And there is no liability to providers. A woman has no recourse if there are mistakes. This also allows for gender transitioning for minors. That is what we have now in our MO constitution. Your NO vote will keep this.
On the ballot this Nov., Amendment 3 will allow abortion up to 12 weeks, for cases of rape and incest and medical emergency. It also makes informed and parental consent a necessity and bans taxpayer funding of abortion. Transition surgery on minors will be banned.* Your YES vote will make these changes.
Please pray and educate your churches and Christians throughout Missouri what their vote will mean.
* (it is true that at the moment our laws do not allow for transitioning for minors, but that statute ends next year as there is a sunset on that law.)
