Everybody hits. Everybody runs. Everybody scores.

That turned out to be the case Monday night for Hannah Koppelmann’s Owensville Dutchgirl softball team during their 15-0 purple-out night victory in three innings over Cuba’s Lady Wildcats.

Freshman Hannah Keeney threw a complete-game two-hit shutout while striking out six batters.

Emma Daniels singled and scored in the bottom of the first inning when Clara Julius reached on an error.

Julius then scored on a Kate Blankenship RBI single for a 2-0 Dutchgirl lead after one inning.

After Keeney picked up two more strikeouts in the top of the second inning, Owensville’s offense went back to work in the bottom half of the frame.

Lainey Moss doubled and scored on a Cailin Floyd RBI single for a 3-0 lead.

Floyd scored on a Daniels RBI single before Keeney reached on an error allowing the Dutchgirl senior to score.

Bailee Dare then reached on another Cuba error allowing Keeney to score after Dare came across on a Danika Hinson RBI single giving Owensville a 7-0 lead after two innings.

Retiring the side in the top of the third inning, Keeney and the Dutchgirls looked to add to their lead and perhaps end the game in three innings.

Daniels and Julius were both hit by pitches with one out before Keeney crushed a 3-1 pitch over the center-field wall for a 3-run home run and a 10-0 lead.

Blankenship, Grace Abell and Moss all drew walks to load the bases for Floyd who also walked allowing Blankenship to score.

Cameron Ryerson was hit by a pitch allowing Abell to score.

Moss then scored on a passed ball before Daniels ended the game with a walk-off two-RBI triple.

Owensville also claimed a 7-1 victory in junior-varsity softball action.

OHS will conclude their three-game home stand tomorrow (Thursday) hosting Montgomery County’s Lady Wildcats with a 5 p.m., first pitch from OHS Field.
