Zach Bollmann’s Dutchgirls looked to add to their second-place showing in their home tournament with a couple of dual wins against the Lady Blue Jays and Lady Bulldogs.

Winning six matches with Washington open at several weight classes, Owensville’s two wins in contested bouts helped them defeat Washington 48-30.

Freshman Payton Busenhart pinned Washington’s Gracie Shaw in 1:14 at 110 pounds while Liz Adams pinned Washington’s Abbie Weber in :45 at 125 pounds.

Scoring wins by forfeit for the Dutchgirls over Washington were Jenna Vandegriffe (115), Makenzi Carpenter (120), Alyvia Wilson (130), Lily Barker (135), Bailee Dare (170) and Madison Lewis (190).

Bollmann’s Dutchgirls nearly went 2-0 on the night.

Tied with Rolla at 42-42 after all 14 matches, the match went to the Lady Bulldogs based on criteria F which had Rolla with more wrestlers in their line up.

Scoring wins by fall for the Dutchgirls against the Lady Bulldogs were Vandegriffe, Barker, Bates, Echols, Dare and Lewis.

Busenhart suffered the lone loss for the varsity Dutchgirls.

In exhibition matches, Blankenship won her second match of the night by fall while Dutchgirl teammates Leighanna Powell, Lexis Manning, Rylee Dare and Wilson all lost their respective matches.

Owensville’s JV Dutchmen suffered a 36-27 setback to Rolla in spite of wins from Zayden Garver, Major, Walker, Levin and Berg.
