Gasconade County R-2 approves May personnel changes

The Gasconade County R-2 Board of Education on May 18 approved staff hirings, rehirings and a resignation.

Owensville Middle School (OMS) CCLC Site Director Kevin Crowder’s resignation was accepted with a 6-0 vote.

The board approved rehirings for classified staff for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

Gerald Elementary School (GES) rehires are Cassie Aslinger, Karen Bleckman, Amanda Bramlette, Melinda Chavez, Grace Hoener, Cathy Jaworski, Juanita Jenkins, Steven Kottwitz, Janice Lebish, Cindy Lindemeyer, Paige Loyd, Sebastian Minix, Sarah Molitor, Lori Payne, Jennifer Perkins, Debbie Pick and Michelle Shoemaker.

Owensville Elementary School (OES) rehires are Jenna Armstrong, Gay Bakker, Cheryl Brocato, Brianna Cornman, Susan Davis, Julie Diestelkamp, Crystal Ditto, Lisa Dunlap, Garanette Edwards, LeAnne Fisher, Michelle Gerlemann, Dale Hinson, PeeWee Howard, Connie Hupfeld, Tiphani Isom, Amy Knight, Nancy Kohrmann, Maria Larrea Bustamante, Tesla McGivney, Julie Mesger, Sarah Morrison, Candice Nixon, Robin Phillips, Kourtney Rhodes, Heather Schlottach, Patty Shepard, Teresa Skornia, Brady Smith, Cierra Speer, Patty Walkenhorst and Jeanette Walker.

OMS rehires are Matt Aufderheide, Risa Buchholz, Angel Burke, Heather Claspill, Brittany Conrad, Noel Gibson, Michelle Harms, Brooke Johnson, Ruth Kohrmann, Cody Link, Brittany Litton, Tess Schwab, Brandon Shaw and Laura Ziegler.

Owensville Elementary School (OHS) rehires are Jonathan Bohl, Marla Bray, Kristen Breese, Greg Carpenter, Lance Corum, Michael Curtis, Sharon Dobbs, Lara Kleekamp, Kim McGee, Katie Mogensen, Samantha Popejoy, Carrie Pruitt, Danny Rice, JoAnn Ringeisen, Angie Schultz, Lori Steinbeck, Robin Tyree, Heather Wehmeyer and Jacinta Wehmeyer.

Transportation and maintenance rehires are Jonathan Aufderheide, Jenny Belloir, Kayla Helmig, Jason Hinson, Brandon Howard, Mike Link, Josh Mikel, Roger Nicks and Gary Pohlmann.

Bus driver rehires are Christina Aytes, Kristin Boyd, Danny Breeden, Angie Brewer, Misty Cox, Tom Engel, Lori Grayson, Terry Jahnsen, Mike Jennings, Gary Jordan, Tracie Kinkead, Mike LeClaire, Sara Loeb, Erica Marquart, Colleen McIntosh, Mike Perkins, Charles Pratt, William Preston, Peggy Roach, Mike Rogers, Cindy Scheel, Kirk Terrill, Rebecca Tracy, Jacinta Wehmeyer, and Danny Wells.

Kim Korman is coming back on staff for Parents as Teachers.

Brayden Granneman and Zach Gregory are returning for the technology department.

Administration officers returning are Shiela Barnwell, Melissa Bauer, Sarah Connor, and Megan Silvers.

The board approved with a 4-0-2 vote to rehire staff for fall and winter sports. Board members Kaylynne Niederer and Jason Crowe abstained from the vote.

The board approved a list of sponsors for Extra Duty with a 5-0-1 vote. Glenn Ely abstained from voting.

The board voted to employ the following for positions for the upcoming school year and summer: Melanie Behrens for high school Student Council sponsor, Richard Powers for CCLC project director, Sam Davis for OES CCLC site director, Jackie Gray for GES CCLC site director, Ted Walker for assistant cross country and track coach, Derrick Tyree for assistant track coach, Barb Breeden for a bus driver position, Abbie Clonts for OHS Vo Ag teacher pending paper work and a background check, Emily Gargus for Junior class sponsor and Hillary Thomas for an eighth grade ELA teacher position pending paperwork and background check.

Cathy Boehm, Emily Gargus, Noah Caldwell and Crew Epstein were hired on as summer technology assistants.

The next board of education meeting will be at 6 p.m. on June 15 at the Administration  Building.
