Gerald ambulances were on other calls, so a Union ambulance crew was called. Gerald-Rosebud (GRFD) and Beaufort-Leslie fire crews also arrived on scene. The fire crews began rescue operations and quickly extricated the driver. When Union EMS arrived, they provided patient care until Arch 6, an air ambulance, arrived to transport the patient to Mercy St. Louis with serious injuries.
Tpr. H. Hoemann with Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol filed a report of the accident.
A 23-year-old man from Gerald was westbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox.
