The Board of Aldermen have rescheduled both a Town Hall meeting and their regularly monthly meeting from Jan. 8 to Thursday, Jan. 15.
The Town Hall will begin at 5 p.m. and the regular meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.
City Clerk Shelly Smythe says documents for approval of the city’s end of year financial statements will not be ready for this week. The decision was made to postpone the meeting so all business can be conducted in one meeting.
The Town Hall will be held to get citizen input into a proposed Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant and a long-term city plan.
TAP grant funds can be used to develop infrastructure that could safe routes for users of the Rock Island Trail to other points in Gerald.
