Lady Eagles, Rehmert earn additional postseason softball honors

Already garnering postseason recognition at the (Gasconade Valley) conference and district level, Belle’s Audrey Rehmert and several Vienna Lady Eagle softball players recently received additional postseason softball honors at the regional and state level.

In voting by coaches with the Missouri High School Fastpitch Coaches Association (MHSFCA), Rehmert along with Vienna’s Eva Hollis, Ella Hollis, Kayla Hertzing and Aubrey Schwartze were named to their respective All-Region Softball teams.

Rehmert was one of several players from the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 2, District 3 tournament field to earn All-Region honors.

District three players earning All-Region nods in addition to Rehmert included Linn’s quartet of Sophia Voss, Ava Warren, Elli Dudenhoeffer and Kylie Peters.

Voss, Warren and Dudenhoeffer were First Team All-Region selections while Peters earned a Second Team All-Region nod.

Leading the Lady Tigers in several statistical categories, Rehmert topped Belle in batting average (.583), on-base percentage (.658), slugging percentage (1.100), OPS (1.758), hits (35), singles (19), doubles (8), triples (1), home runs (7), runs scored (36), walks (13) and stolen bases (39).

She tied for the team lead in singles with Nevaeh Kinsey while sharing the top spot in doubles with Dakota Butcher.

Natalie Gehlert and Kinsey each also had a triple for the Lady Tigers.

In the Class 1 All-Region Team encompassing districts one and two, Vienna’s foursome of Eva Hollis, Ella Hollis, Hertzing and Schwartze were first-team selections.

Ella Hollis led the Lady Eagles with a .495 batting average in addition to 50 hits, 30 singles, 13 doubles, 50 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

She was tied for the team lead in doubles with Schwartze.

Eva finished second for the Lady Eagles in hits (42), singles (27) and triples (4).

Hertzing led the Lady Eagles with five triples in addition to placing second on the team with 13 walks.

Schwartze led Vienna in OPS (1.459), slugging percentage (.907), doubles (13), home runs (5) and runs batted in (40).

Norwood, the team that ended Vienna’s season in the district semifinals saw three players earn Second Team All-Region honors in sophomore pitcher Maddie Campbell, sophomore catcher Jayden Chambers, and senior infielder Hailey Hall.

Eventually winning the MSHSAA Class 1, District 1 title, St. Elizabeth’s Lady Hornets had seven players earn All-Region accolades in Vanessa Heckemeyer, Riley Hammond, Charli Duemmel, Reagan Wobbe, Dani Heckemeyer, Ella Lucas and Addison Doerhoff.
