Charges were filed against Charles Vaughn Jordan III Dec. 31 relating to an October incident reported by the Gasconade County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) accusing him of resisting arrest and driving without a license or proper vehicle registration.
According to the probable cause statement, on Oct. 11, 2025, a stationary GCSO officer observed a black passenger vehicle traveling eastbound on Southridge Lane fail to come to a complete stop at Keith Lane and accelerated at a high speed, causing the officer to reach speeds of 85 mph in a 25 mph zone to “catch up to the vehicle.”
The officer reports observing Jordan make a reckless turn onto Blankenship Court before exiting the vehicle as if he was preparing to flee on foot.
The GCSO officer reported that Jordan “spontaneously” admitted to having a suspended license and that no valid proof of insurance was provided.
It was also noted that Jordan had a prior conviction for driving while suspended or revoked 20 years prior on March 25, 2005, out of the state of Indiana.
He was charged with the class A misdemeanor of resisting or interfering with arrest, detention or stop and the class D misdemeanors of driving while revoked or suspended (first offense) and owner operate motor vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. No hearing or trial information was available at press time.
